What are your Valentine's Day plans?

I'm going on my first trail ride of 2026. My instructor's fiancee won't be around that day, so she's taking me, her friend, and one of her younger students on a trail ride.
We intend to be out for 2 hours, but may make the ride longer if we collectively want to lol. I'll be riding the horse named Ginger and I'm stoked. She's so fun to ride and is so pretty.

I confessed to my situationship of almost 2 years that I had feelings the other day, she didn’t feel the same way. So probably not doing anything fun, all my close friends are in relationships and have plans for V-Day.

Despite how empty I feel, I am still proud of myself for finally getting that off my chest. I was wanting to ask for months, but held off because I was scared it wouldn’t work out. As soon as I asked her, I felt like a pallet of bricks was lifted off my shoulders.

Thank you! I grew up with horses, so I've always been into it. I had a ten year break starting when I was 16 before getting back into the whole equestrian thing as an adult. Been back at it for almost two years now and I actually just got official ownership the mare I've been rehabbing for like a year and a half. Hoping she'll be saddle ready in the spring lol

I’ve never had a horse, but I’ve been around some of my friend’s parents who have horses. One runs a boarding stable and it seems like quite the handful! Though, like most animals that investment is always worth it. How old is your mare?
You're welcome! Running a boarding stable is a nightmare. I'll stick to one horse lol. She's expensive enough lol. She's 26, and will be turning 27 in September. I'm hoping to get her to 30. She also may be able to be ridden again if the vet gives it the okay. I'll find out that when spring vet checks happen lol.

She'll be in there, and I'll be sitting in the car with the service-dog-in-training, Leo. Someday I would expect him to go in with her, but he's not ready yet.
Then we'll come home and she'll fall asleep while I watch movies.

We were supposed to go to a Mardi Gras parade with family, but thankfully they cancelled. So now we're awake early, have valentines day off together with no plans... and we're gonna go fishing for a bit. Packing a cooler now and about to head out, then we'll see where the day takes us! Just excited to have the day with my best friend (aka wife)

It was valentines day yesterday here in Sweden, which I didn't know at first.
I invited a female friend to fika at my place, I thought she was acting kinda stiff and was wondering why, then she asked "M, do you know what day it is today?" and I just said "uhm, Saturday?" and she laughed and told me it's valentines day.
I felt so embarrassed, I'm both not interested in her in that way and not in a place in my life where I want a relationship or even FWB or one night stands. I apologised and explained and she thankfully accepted and understood, still felt embarrassed and dumb though.
It was a nice fika though and I helped her figure out some personal stuff.
Wait for the better holiday, Feb 15th, aka cheap chocolate day.
I find some places now wait a few days to kick in the good sales. Then stagger it to by 25%, 50%, 75%, 90%

Jokes aside, I know he loves me to death, but we don't really do anything for Valentine's day. His birthday was last week and we went on a day-long bike ride, had an epic sourdough sandwich half way through, and I surprised him with a travel pin board.
This afternoon, I have been reading, journalling, nursing sore muscles, and will be having a miso salmon bowl for dinner.
We did ours early, simply because neither of us knew what to do for dinner the other day. We found this excellent Indian butcher that offered pre-marinated meats and it was amazing. Tandoori lamb chops and smoky chipotle chicken thighs 🤤
We don't celebrate it, just going to stay in and cuddle like any other weekend.
I will finish my pending project work and think where did i go wrong in my life
Me and my partner are doing some indoor climbing, getting lunch afterwards, getting groceries for a special dinner, cooking and dining at home, then finishing up the night with some duet Daggerheart (D&D)!
Cleaning in the morning, Cozy series binging with my ex this afternoon and tonight I've made a reservation at a Lebanese restaurant for me and my fiance, after which were going to a Valentine's themed ballroom dancing night 😊
