Photo of ID for any purchase or adding to account at all
2mon 1d ago by lemmy.world/u/HorreC in t_mobile@lemmy.mlI was told today they couldnt verify me for my account (even tho I was signed in thru the website, had to input the sms code, and paid with a credit card with my name on it) and it informed me to call them, so I did. I was then informed that they required me to go into a store location with a ID for myself and they needed to have it on file. I have a 26 year old account with them, I even had to give them my pin to even access my account but they refuse to let me buy or change anything about my account with this ID.
I told them they cant help themselves but lose their customers information yearly, I am NEVER going to give them my ID for their records. They informed me it was required and any changes to my account need it, even at renewing. I told them I see this for the info gathering that it is, I am sure its for AI or just to sell. So there goes the last cell carrier I would even reluctantly deal with (I was part of the sprint merger). This is so messed up.
