Had a wholesome moment with the cleaning lady that p's get yesterday. She'd be mid 60's chinese. Was pulling some chillies off the tree for her and she came out really enthusiatic asking about it for 10 mins telling me all the different parts of the tree in mandarin lol.
She was trying to haggle me for how many she could have. We went from 30 to 70. I lost but I had nothing that would work against her strategy.

I think I know that recipie - best done with tough scrawny old boiling hens, not the young plump roasting birds in the supermarket. Then it works well and is mega delicious. Using young birds means they go to shreds over the 3 days, where the boiling hens hang together and just keep getting more delish. Also, I believe you can use cranberry juice plus 1/4 tsp of orange zest instead of wine - haven't tried that but it sounds plausible. Dish is meant to be made with rough as bags red wine with tons of acid & tannin so maybe would work. Lemme know if you give it a go.

TL;DR: Face sunscreens are overpriced and adding way too many actives for marketing reasons to the point of me not being able to use them anymore, old reliables have been reformulated, and trying generic to get a more basic option didn’t work out well either.
FFS. I just want affordable basics that don’t sting or cause reactions.

Yeah, that’s worrying. I don’t use a lot of products but sunscreen is kind of a necessity and it’s getting so hard to find something that just does the job.
Edit: Am… am I going to be forced to wear a bucket hat next summer? Because broad brimmed hats flap up or sag down, and baseball caps don’t cover your neck or ears
