Actors, actresses and artists should shut the fuck up when they are asked to talk about anything other than their creations

There is zero reasons for anyone to listen to to someone who acts, looks or sings great talking about their life or their opinions in politics.

I don't even have any idea why in 2026 we still have interviews with celebrities and actresses.

I even see UN, human rights and general non-profits give actresses honorable positions and make them talk. And I gotta ask, did humanity lost it's common sense or is logic ship sinking?

Nah, everybody has the right to express themselves. Listening to them is what gives them power.

Fediverse users should shut the fuck up when they are asked to talk about anything other than their occupations.

"I don't think a group of people who share a commonality should be allowed to express their thoughts and beliefs" ?

I'm going to assume what you meant was, their opinions shouldn't be elevated above anyone else's. Which I agree with. Their fame does give them a platform and reach far beyond the average person but that shouldn't prevent them from being able to share their views like everyone else.

Also I do want to know if someone has views that I find offensive and can avoid supporting. Whatever your views, personal tastes, politics etc. Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds/whatshername and Sydney Sweeny demonstrated a lot of people do care about actors beyond the media they are part of producing.

Also, the average person doesn't even know a single name at the UN or humanitarian groups so when Emma Watson speaks up for women and trans people she's using her platform to spread the message of those organisations, to their benefit. I can tell you know I've never once thought to look on the United Nations website with a curiosity for their current endeavours.

I might have started this reply a bit antagonistic but by the time I finished I actually found the point you raised interesting and worth thinking through, thank you.
