Not sure wtf Ryuden was doing with his positioning. Looked like he was leaning way too heavily on Asasuiryu (up from juryo) who barely had to pull away to put Ryuden's hands on the dirt.

Abi drives Mitakeumi back with throat thrusts handily before changing up to a slap down. Mita had nothing going on here.

Shishi retreats and circles off the line but finds an inside right he uses to walk Asahakuryu out.

Churanoumi has a couple of ineffectual push attempts but Fujiryoga lines up his position and shoves Chura all over the ring and out. Great power on display here.

Kinbozan goes for the throat attach off the line but Wakamotoharu withstands it and gets an inside left to walk him over the edge.

Gonoyama has a huge drive but Hakunofuji finds his feet enough to redirect to a slap down.

Looks like Oho got an initial Ichiyamamoto headbutt but he plows through it to force Ichi out.

Yoshinofuji meets Ura's low tachiai with thrusting and nodowa, and when he comes in hard Ura redirects and almost sends Yoshi down and out. On recovery Yoshi comes in again and uses throat attacks to stand Ura up after he goes low again. Ura's face takes a lot of slaps as he's backed up to the bales and tries another slap down but runs out of ring as Yoshi shoves him out and he somersaults off the dohyo.

Oshoma and Takanosho have a slappy slappy pully pully match but finally Oshoma get a parry that puts him in position to take the belt while Taka goes for a slap down but steps out. Both seemed pretty disoriented by the end of that.

Fujinokawa works to defend his belt against Fujiseiun but eventually the latter finds an outside grip and looks in control. Fujinokawa goes for a throw with a leg lift but he can't finish and Fujiseiun backs his opponent to the bales and bends him almost in half backwards by shoving down on his throat.

Wakatakakage and Tobizaru jockey for position briefly but WTK takes the Monkey to the straw and hefts him into the air before chucking him off the ring and into one of the shinpan.

Shodai survives by parrying Kotoshoho while on the bales but can't last forever and gets shoved out.

Kirishima with another bandage on his forehead looks for a big throw that has Kotoeiho staggering around the ring but he's able to recover and takes Kiri to the bales where his force out is countered by an amazingly quick and tight utchari throw by Kiri as they both tumble to the clay. Very tight call for Koto so the judges gather for a monoii and it's overturned for a Kiri win. Fantastic sumo, one of the tightest utchari I think I've ever seen.

That puts Kirishima on top with 11 wins, with Yoshinofuji, WTK, and Kotoeiho behind at 10.
