[Post-Match and Trophy Presentation Thread] Crystal Palace v.s. Arsenal F.C.

24d 10h ago by lemmy.world/u/Astrealix in gunners

I can't believe we've won it man

Apparently we're the first ever PL team to go a whole season without conceding either a red card or a penalty. Same old Arsenal, always cheating XD

Interesting that the GKs have their gloves on for all this.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Now comes the confetti, which plays havok with digital streams.

Even if it had gone to the final day, we still would have won. I find that oddly comforting.

This season was always ours :3

Wearing an Arsenal shirt, Arteta sure looks like he could still be a player.

He should just manage in one, it still suits him so much.

This is the first time in a long time I've seen him in a tee 🤣

I wonder if putting Merino, Havertz and Gyok all on was partially done in case Arsenal are chasing PSG and need a goal. It's good for them to have a chance to play all together so if that happens they don't get in each-other's way.

This is now a CHAMPIONS community. If you are not a CHAMPION please leave. 🤩

I am not one to have a weep but I definitely had a few tears in my eyes during the post-match scenes.

I hope you have been enjoying this as much as I have been since Tuesday. I've had a smile on my face the whole time since then.

Hard to believe that Martinelli has already been at Arsenal for 7 years.

Yeah he was a wee lad when we first took him in

So, all the players have "Champions 26" on the back but the coaches and staff all have players' names and numbers on them.

Trophy lift is over, but there are other live streams showing huge crowds at Arsenal's stadium.

Btw, at one point a Crystal Palace physio / medic came on to treat one of their players. He had on a black shirt with white writing across the top of the back. It said "PALACE" but because of the various folds and shadows it looked like "POLICE". I was like "WTF is going on!"

Similar to this:

PALACE or POLICE?

Didn't that actually happen for a Brazil-Argentina game during covid lol

If it did, I missed it.

health authorities, not technically police apparently XD

I believe the match was never played because they both qualified and was like "this is pointless" lol

That’s one in the bag, let’s go get the other one next week.

Champions 2026!

Fuck yeah, on that note time to get some sleep.

I'm so glad tomorrow is a holiday in Hong Kong. I don't know when I'll be able to fall asleep lol.

Yeah I got some, fits and starts.

It’s a busy day for me, I have a submission to write to aph about the NDIS changes.

Arteta almost looks like he was when he was a player again, must be growing years younger from the relief

Where was Nwaneri?

Who are the man and woman hanging the medals on their necks?

JOB'S NOT DONE!!! ❤️🤍

Was watching everything while at work today, and I really can't think of a time when I've seen Arteta just be so joyous. The journey to the destination is just as important and glad he was the one to lead the team to it. He really is The Chosen One.

CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND YOU'LL NEVER SING THAT

Interesting that the way things turned out, Arsenal have a 7 point gap to Man City in second, who have a 7 point gap to United in third (then 6 points, then 5).

Mid table is also nuts, two clubs at 53 points, two at 52, two at 49. Sunderland finished in 7th, but they're only 5 points above 13th.

Tottenham has won the top flight twice in their entire history. And the last time was 65 years ago.

We've won it FOURTEEN times, including four in the Premier League era.

And this year they only survived relegation by the skin of their teeth.

We need better location rivals. They are just pathetic.

Apparently Palace are still doing their stuff for the end of the season, might be a while till the trophy lift lol

A good, solid, uncomfortable but acceptable win. Especially considering the foreign lineup, I'm glad enough with how we did.

Where's Wenger at at a time like this??

Anyone know where to actually watch the title lift btw?

For me: Arrrrrrrr.... (search for reddit soccer streams or streams east)

My yarr went to the fuck ass Spurs game

The one I was using went to some dumb CNBC documentary about a log cabin...

But I found another one that's branded OVO, found via footybyte.vc

Apparently they'll be showing it on the official YouTube at 6:30 UK time

that link ain't working for me lol

I sent you a DM, not sure if we're supposed to share links like that here.

All good, I don't know about LW rules but I don't really care, also I'm just gonna use the official YT stream.

The wait is finally, finally over.

AHAHAHAH gabby doesn't even need the medal

Keep all the Spurs talk in the other thread or the Daily

This is what it's all about, isn't it. What a team, what a title, what a club.

God, that trophy looks soooooo good. So much better than the city blue.

bukayooooooo saka

boy does he add to joy indeed

Here comes the coaching staff
