[Transfem] When you started HRT, what things changed for you? What made you happy or sad?
9d 14h ago by lemmy.blahaj.zone/u/jasesa01u in asktransgender@lemmy.blahaj.zoneWhen you were in beginning of HRT process (say an year), what things started to make your happier or sad? What things were you scared of?
Please include approx. time if you can (like at X weeks).
This can include physical, emotional, social, mental or any other kind of stuff.
EDIT: Purpose
- We recently found that we might be trans.
- We are trying to have a better understanding of what to expect if / when one starts HRT process. We are not planning to do so anytime soon, but having more information would help us decide / prepare better.
- This is for us to compare our experience if / when we start this process.
E.g.
- We read a comment in a different post that emotional highs and lows become even more higher / lower.
- Some sites mention "mental fog" being cleared? So what / how does that feel like? What changes in that regards? Specifics would help a lot.
- Other stuff you started to like / dislike? E.g. - we know about clothes, taking photos, hair, smoother skin.
Why do you ask?
Is this information gathered for a purpose?
Updated in the post. Thank you.
I don't have the time to write a good reply for you now, but maybe this site can be enlightening: https://genderdysphoria.fyi/en/
I find that I generally like the same stuff I liked before HRT, I'm just freer to explore other parts of me that I used to neglect. I did start crying more easily. I don't remember how long that took unfortunately
We had already read that one. That is how we found out about us. Thank you.
