TFW PugJesus stops providing context with memes
P.S. Naval battles were for real!
Thats one of the coolest things I've ever seen, thanks
The hippodrome became a lot less cool once they stopped the hippo fights
I'm pretty sure it was hippo racing
So NASCAR is upholding Roman racing traditions?
And they still do concerts on both. Though more at Circo Massimo.
The hippodrome is the Sega Saturn of Roman amphitheaters.
Games for the Hippodrome:
- Chariot Race
- Installation of an anti-Emperor
- Massacres of civilians!
Hippodrome looks like an excellent Jousting Ground as well as chariot race track.
- Man vs Man
- Man vs Self
- Man vs Nature
- Man vs Society: Sea of Lies (All water levels!)
My understanding was that the Romans really, really liked races though....
Also in Hippodrome...

Why are you comparing one specific amphitheatre with the concept of horse racing tracks in general?
A fairer comparison would have been Colosseum vs. Circus Maximus. With that the competition would have been a lot closer.
