YouTube has unveiled a new feature: if you have a tracker link when you share a YouTube video, the recipient can now get your channel name & username.

You can turn this off by changing the channel visibility for shared links in the Privacy settings:

Never share YouTube links with their source identifier.

Here's some Youtube frontends:

What does this do that pipepipe doesn't? Couldn't understand why it was so buggy and huge, like its half a gig in storage.

I don't have that option. Is it maybe only on mobile?

Yes, on the app

This is why I open all YouTube and Instagram and Facebook etc links in private windows

I'm confused, how does the recipient access the sharer's username from this?

Google is revealing the username with a popup that says

"Sent by [display username]

[username at registration]"

I see that in the screenshot, but I don't see how to actually expose that once you have the URL. For instance, I can grab a YT link from just about any Discord server I'm in right now, and almost all of them have trackers at the end. But when I click them, I don't see anything that reveals the sharer's details, it just looks like a normal YT page. I'm not sure where you actually get to the screen in that screenshot.

Its part of the youtu.be's page <title>

I've been using Pure Link on Android to make deleting the parameter a bit easier

I've been using URLCheck.
