[ER] ...for about 5min before you switch back to your comfort zone

Been really meaning to get into either DS3 or Elden Ring for years, but it seems I'm still stuck playing Noita. I know at some point I will thoroughly enjoy the souls series.
If you're like me, once you get into the Souls series, it'll be all you want to play for a while.
Oh hell yeah, Noita is fantastic. It is entirely understandable to get lost in Esoteric Finnish Witchery Simulator
Try Not To Get Killed While Becoming A God Simulator

Noita is so great! When I pick it up I end up logging another hundred hours on it before I realize. It totally scratches the same itch that Fromsoft games do for me. Esoteric and obtuse do it for me I guess.
I’ve tried doing an int build several times. I always end up either respecing or doing an int/str build with DMGS or similar. Since the DLC it’s been the same with arc becoming an arc/str build with AMOGS which is probably my favourite weapon they’ve come out with now.
I realized that no matter what stat I level, I'm just going to find a normal weapon that scales with it and effectively fight the same way. I'm probably never going to rely on actual spells or anything.
Honestly yeah me too. I tried doing a spells-only run, made it to Godskin Duo before getting bored and switching to regular weapons. I’m just not a mage-type person I guess. I rarely use spells in other games too, I’ve always preferred melee.
Darkmoon Greatsword is really a cool weapon, but against endgame bosses I found the heavy and charged attack too slow and rather used Carian Slicer against them.
Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword looks so stylish, but other than picking it up with the Ancient Dragon Stone, I have never really done anything with it… I really should do a playthrough where I rush the DLC and pick that up.
Yeah I agree DMGS isn’t the best endgame weapon but fashion souls > functionality imo. I’d rather look cool as hell and have a greater challenge than blast through the game looking dumb.
AMOGS is definitely worth rushing the DLC for if you’re doing an arc/str build. As much as I absolutely love the DLC and want to take it slow to absorb it all again each playthrough, that sword is just too damn awesome. Half the time I end up respecing just to use it.
Did a magic run in my last playthrough. It felt "easy" in a lot of fights, but felt damn near impossible for a few. Never did end up finishing the last fight in SotE.
Really? I never found the endgame fights harder as a caster. I think the only time I first tried Consort Radahn was in NG+ or NG++ with a Night Comet build.
What fights did you struggle with? And what spells did you use?
I always love hearing about other people's sorcery runs.
I'm playing DS3 at the moment, my first time through. I decided to play this one a little differently and add a some miracles to my dex build. It's kind of nice having a little bit of extra healing.
