What was your favorite toy as a kid?

I had cuddly toys that I loved, as a child I had a doll called Timmy that you could give a bottle to. As I got older i liked playing with some more creative type things, like these plastic beads that could be linked into chains and later I loved those little plastic cylindrical beads you placed into a set pattern then ironed to melt them together. Also loved scoubidous when a bit older, still have a few as keyrings.

Perler beads! Oh those were so fun as a kid!!
I had 2 sindy dolls (a UK version of barbie, but slightly more realistic proportionally speaking)
I didn't play house with them, instead I made them armour from card, and cobbled together weapons- metal nail files were swords, and I made a bow from a knitting needle and an elastic band, the arrows were straightened paper clips (I really excelled with making these as they actually worked and could take out bits of plaster from the walls)
I also once made a Viking village, complete with longship, again out of card.
I still think the best toys are the ones you have a hand in designing and making yourself, but then I am an autistic creative nerd 😃
Lego. You could build anything if you had enough bricks and imagination.
Hard to pick just one. I got a lot of use out of my Skip-It. Hurt like a bitch if it hit your ankle.
Edit: Also, Creepy Crawlers.
Stick. I pick stick. I sharpen stick. Me likey stick.
Simple as. Loved walking around with sticks I found in forests.
When I visited my grandfather in B.C. that was pretty much the only toy I had access to myself. Sticks really are fun. Especially if you have a German Shepherd nearby. (Those dogs seem to LOVE carrying, chasing, and wrestling over sticks.)
Rocks. My pockets were so full of rocks I almost destroyed the washing machine a few times over.
Rocks are still great.
Hmm now that you say it, I don’t think I really played with toys. My favorite was a simple teddy bear actually!
My Little Pony was the only toy I really cared about. I loved them so damn much. They were so pretty and colorful, with their fun names and cute little pictures on their butts.
I had a homemade octopus (don't ask) from my mother that was given me when I was two and I finally gave up at about the age of 14. By that point it had been repaired so many times I don't think any original piece was left; the Octopus of Theseus.
