Because this is a snapshot in time and the older survey respondents wouldn't have had smartphones and social media their whole lives, I wonder if the alone time will grow.
How to spend only 3 hours with coworkers? Asking for a friend
A few 45 minute bathroom breaks go a long way.
I wish I still knew the youtube link for "hide and go poop". It's a 20 year old link, back whenpeople were recording video on their Nokia phone.
The basic concept was that a bunch of college aged coworkers in an office played a game where they slipped away from their desk to take a poop in the office somewhere and take a picture for the group chat. The one rule was that you couldn't move the poop. The picture is taken where it fell out of your butt. No toilets allowed.
The video ends after they take a poop in the break room fridge, in the elevator, on each seat in the confrence room, and the grand finale, on the boss's desk.
To which they then discover the boss has access to security cameras all over the office. Thenthe boss says "And which one of you pooped in the mail chute???"
To which all of them looked confused. Then the camera swivels over and this 85 year old woman is tauntingly waving at them and says "Yoohoo!!! Sweetums!!!"
And end to black.
TIL I'm 80 years old
So as you get children you spend time with them, then you retire so less time with coworkers
Then the SO dies, so more time alone
You better enjoy your own company and get some hobbies
.......is masturbation and crying considered a hobby?
Haha yeah, I definitely have this many lines! "Social lines McGee" they used to still call me. My graph has a few extra lines that are way cooler even.
...Hmm? What are they? do we gotta do this here
Based on this graph, I'm 210 years old.
No wonder I'm always cranky.
Friends would be higher, family lower, coworkers basically top of the list. The rest seems reasonable.
3h hours per day coworkers??? I mean yeah weekends and holidays and such but even then thats not going to half the 8 hour day much less the, ugh, work events.
People in real life are toxic. Also I wouldn't doubt if this was socially planned to help keep people divided.
I mean, not everyone IRL is toxic. Many are in america for sure, but still. Is it much better online?
Its 100% the plan. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Social media has been planned as brainwashing since its inception and its been twisted to work perfectly for that. Keep the peons arguing on tik Tok so they dont revolt or get educated.
I would say it's worse online, but it's more "optional" to be around.
True. Can't get away from the loud obnoxious racist in Walmart but online you can mute them!
