One version of "broken windows" (I have heard a few) is that stopping little crimes early leads to an overall reduction in crime. One explanation is that criminals tend to commit more than one crime.

Hey now, what could I, a fresh trillionair, do about climate change? Sure, I could feed everyone who cannot feed themselves (~$8 billion), stop flying my private jet between my homes, turn off the natural gas generators belching CO2 into the atmosphere, guide my companies to using solar and wind power, build better quality electric cars, build electric car charging in more places, encourage people to... eat more beans, or personally fund huge portions of the government I personally cut. Nothing at all to be done.

True. I find it interesting that the burden for making the transition is often put on the non-native scholar and reader.

China has the resources to popularize their history into the English speaking world by translating histories into English, make visual media in English about their history. (My focus is on English, so I do not know if China has been doing this in other languages.) Japan and South Korea are doing this at successfully, at least in part.
