Having a drink to calm the nerves is one thing, but spending several minutes taking shots of vodka before a date sounds like straight-up alcoholic behavior. I appreciate what wasps do for the environment, but I'm fairly sure that I'm genuinely somewhat phobic of them, presumably stemming from getting stung by one when I was like 3 or 4. It's become more manageable to an extent as I've gotten older, but to this day, seeing or especially hearing a wasp nearby still stirs a bit of fight-or-flight reflex in me.

I don't go out of my way to kill them unless they're actively nesting on my house or something, but I do wish them a very "go do your thing, just far away from me personally."

I went into the article thinking this company was planning to try to use DNA samples of extinct species to clone them and reintroduce them, but it seems they just want to genetically modify existing animals to look like extinct species? I can't say I really see the point, honestly. Even as far as research into genetic modifications goes, I feel like there are more practical applications of it than that.

Oh, almost forgot to mention one of my pet cards, [[Dark Prophecy]]. It makes you extremely resilient to removal and your commander will offset the life loss if he's out.

With your focus on blink, a few creatures that draw a card when entering could be worthwhile.

But don't forget that Syr Vondam triggers when your creatures die, as well. Black has plenty of cards that let you draw cards by sacrificing creatures. Even if you don't normally want to kill your own creatures as often as an aristocrats deck, instant-speed options like [[Deadly Dispute]] or [[Reckoner's Bargain]] can let you get some cards back in response to being targeted with removal, or just let you dump a creature you don't really need for a chance to dig deeper into your deck.

On the other side of black's card draw, [[Sign in Blood]], [[Night's Whisper]], and [[Phyrexian Arena]] are decent options to pay life to draw cards.
