And by systemic issues, this is what I mean:

Racial bias and disproportionate harm to Black and other marginalized communities, including stops, force, and killings. Low accountability, with critics arguing that misconduct is often not punished effectively and that “bad apple” explanations miss broader patterns. Overuse of police for problems they are not best suited to handle, such as mental health crises, homelessness, school discipline, and traffic situations. A culture that can normalize aggression, silence internal dissent, or reproduce wider social biases inside departments. Erosion of public trust when people experience policing as unfair, which can make communities less likely to cooperate with law enforcement.

Going to add to this, if you're developing apps for their walled garden (like me) then you have to buy their hardware and run their software. But I have it in my head that some day, we'll get an emulator that can run on Linux and then Asahi can make that hardware useful again.
