There are a bunch of services trying to cover this, Incogni, deleteme as you said, optery, kanary, privacy bee, etc.

Incogni's supposedly fairly good but I haven't used it myself.

None of them are a silver bullet, their theoretical success rate is somewhere around the 60-70% mark. I would recommend you dig into "data poisoning" too. The idea is to flood your online profile with contradictory information, (fake a dresses, wrong age, alternate names) so your profile becomes unreliable and less valuable.

Some services like Data Bee do that to some degree. Nowadays it kinda works but smart systems can filter this data by comparing your online profiles in different places and saying "this age matches in 4 places, this name too" etc, so that's hard

But i'd try some cheap platform, and pair that with manually deleting as much of your data manually from any app, individual accounts etc, even if that takes a bunch of time

Volkswagen to cut 50,000 jobs as profits drop

3mon 9d ago in europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com from www.bbc.com

it happens. Very expensive cars that aren't more reliable than 2010s and 2000s counterparts, super expensive to repair and maintain. Now with all the electric market, european brands are lagging behind to chinese brands. I want european brands to thrive, but damn, sometimes I think "they've been forgetting what people want for a while now"

Women still under-represented in European politics, despite improving trend

3mon 12d ago in europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com from eng.lsm.lv

why would It have to be 50/50? genuine question

I personally want the best of each on every seat of the european parliament, no matter if for some area that means they are 90% men or 90% women, just like you'd want the police to be 100% capable, no matter if they're women or men in some%

Chat Control Plenary vote Results

most socalist governments like mine (Spain's) vote in favour of these kind of stuff. They want more control, not less lol. And believe it or not, most right wing parties that usually are somewhat nationalist, tend to believe their own people deserve privacy or media freedom or whatever, no matter what other countries think

NEW: Palantir's AI Is Already Playing a Major Role in Tracking Gaza Aid Deliveries

Ladybird adopts Rust, with help from AI

By fascist funding do you mean the 250k yearly they seem to be getting from FUTO+ thousands on donations each month? And also, futo is probably the most pro-customer organization these days? Also even if you dislike other donors like Framework, why wouldn't you want a project like this to get funding?

Also, like it or not, if you read the blog you can see how they tested it to make sure the bytecode matched, and how this was done by a engineer not a random guy "vibe coding", which surprise surprise, AI is a tool indeed, and a good one if you get control of it.

And even me personally I'm not a fan but people are too quick to criticize, they built a custom engine themselves, at 90%+ the results of webkit, gecko or webSpider (i believe this was the name of chrome's), then they are building the browser on top of it at the same time, and they're on track to launch the browser alpha this year multiplatform and with multiple great devs hired + open source contributors, so that's not half bad.

This project should be of interest to people that think the team is good, bad, and all spectrums, in what universe is a user created browser with little to no funding, anti ads anti current monopoly bad? Give it a chance, other projects that have been in this for years are lagging behind ladybird which started "recently"

edit: clarifying, I just dislike this doomer mindset instead of trying to put things on a scale, the scale of the project is insane for the size of the team, and they're constantly pulling up with very good updates

Europe’s Israel policy faces a democratic test

3mon 28d ago in europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com from www.aljazeera.com

It happens. If the union that's supposed to unite european countries and their values, says quote "we have the values of the talmud"-ursula. That means we are being run by a parliament that cares more about Israel and jewish values than all values and wishes from european countries and citizens

What we want doesn't matter. We don't control the EU, someone else does.

Germany is turning into ‘Little Israel’: Lies, smear campaigns, and Zionist propaganda

3mon 29d ago in europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com from www.middleeastmonitor.com

What can I say, germany has been beat up with holocaust and such arguments. People obviously switched sides, and now saying anything that somewhat resembles not liking jewish influence in our politics is extreme antisemitism or something like that

So now, in mainstream media, we have a mix of people complaining about this situation with germany being more jewish than ever in political support and such, with touches of people calling everyone dissagreeing with this nazi. And the actual politicians dont give a crap and let people protest and fight

Why Spain is offering amnesty to 500,000 undocumented migrants

4mon 19d ago in europe@feddit.org from www.france24.com

They are chocking the younger population in taxes, to earn 2000€ a month the company would need to pay about 4000€, and for that the company would need to get at least 5000+€ (to account for taxes for their products and services. And then after that they'd need to make profit if they can).

I'd call that chocking the younger population, specially now that 2000€ would be the bare minimum to live in bigger cities without having to share a place to live. And most people in random cities spend 100€ on electricity, 500-700 on renting, 250 for food per person, expensive gas prices, etc.

If they won't lower the taxes, no matter how many immigrants they bring, the younger population cant save up, build infrastructure and companies, or anything for the matter, so the country won't prosper.
