I don't know if it has a name but my association is semi pulpy sci-fi books from the seventies and eighties.

Trial of 12mph bike lane speed limit grinds gears of Dutch cyclists

3d 8h ago in europe@feddit.org from www.theguardian.com

I haven't been able to bike for years because of health problems but my daily commute on a bad day with uphill in both directions was over 20 km/h on my old manual iron horse refurbished with internal gears.

It would be like putting a speed limit on promenades that you can only leisurely stroll and not even do a brisk walk.

That said, I think 20km/h sounds reasonable for e-scooters.

I read some time ago a mathematical proof, or rather an article claiming so because I don't know enough neither math nor cosmology, supporting my own old intuitive concept that once heat death is complete and all matter has stopped moving and there is an eternity ahead of still nothing, it is by all relevant means identical to a singularity of potential energy.

I don't know if I believe in it, but I think it makes sense. Even if it takes an eternity or two for a new cycle to start over.

Edit: I mean all of it is speculation anyway. We have and will never have any insight in the "true" nature of the universe beyond our limited measurements and deductions. It could be just what it looks like and there is only one. There could be a finite or unlimited number of multiverse, or a numeral concept beyond what we can comprehend. This could all be an illusion, a simulation, or a super organism of which we are part of or we could be microbes on it. In the end it doesn't even matter really. But it's fun to think about.

Well damn. Glad he's dead.

I don't think Walt Disney was exactly a good guy either..

And Google Assistant was even better once upon a time before Google decided to make it worse to force people over to Gemeni despite it having no functionality more than a subpar chatbot with a search engine. It could not even tell the time out loud and even less set a timer or alarm.

Gimme Hope Jo'anna

Why would they not? It is tradition that the left wing is split by minor differences in ideology while the right wing are united by hate regardless how contradictory otherwise.

He is a useful idiot and ultra wealthy and ultra powerful and ultra influential and ultra useful on top of being an ultra idiot. They don't have to embrace him, only let him do his thing until he is no longer useful. Fascism must always have enemies and when they are without the external ones they will turn on each other.
