To be honest, this was to be expected.

That being said, this is more like a marathon than a 100 m sprint.

And the industry now knows that their leverage is not strong as they thought it was.

I am sure they thought it would never get this far.

Those fake "communist" roleplayers are a real drag on the Threadiverse.

Robot Hospice on Steam

Interesting concept. Although the art style isn't my thing, although I am more than happy to overlook that when needed.

That's fair, I never had a GBA or played Fire Emblem, but the concept sounded interesting, just added that for others like me. :)

This would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

I am not as big as a fan of Steam as most, but we did get lucky that Valve aren't as scummy as most large business entities in gaming.

It could have been way worse, that being said, I think even if the big players initially came to dominate digital distribution (ans ignored indie devs), a competitor would have filled the need in the market.

This is a fair take. Random comments about "AI slop" without context bring nothing to the table.

I get that, it's just a bit strange how quickly you get replies about GenAI in a niche community about Tycoon games.

I personally don't see the over reliance on ML generated assets in this game, but I could be wrong.

Generative AI was used only in a limited supporting role for selected music and art assets.

I am honestly surprised how quickly I get replies about GenAI bla bal in this community.

I don't know whether one should be laughing or not, but PC gaming will likely always retain a solid core of players that don't align with mainstream trends.
