Trying this again.
The SKG discord provided some options for those in the state, outside of the state, and for those in other parts of the world (edited to avoid the wrath of DBZer0's automod):

If you live in California, or know someone who does:

  • Find your State Senator here:
  • Then go to their “Contact Me” page and submit your support for AB 1921, the Protect Our Games Act.
    • Please include a short explanation of why you support game preservation.

If you live in another state, or know someone who does:

Everyone around the world can also help:

  • Help exposure to this topic / bill. Repost/share on [social media].

  • You can e-mail the Senate Privacy, Digital Technologies, and Consumer Protection:

    • SPDTCP.Committee@sen.ca.gov
    • And express your interest and support for this bill on an international perspective.

Star Citizen | Behind the Ships: Gatac Railen

The animations look amazing.... Unfortunately we saw what happened to the Syulen where a lot of things ended up broken after a year or so of updates. I'm hoping this lasts longer and allows the team a little more time to go back and update the alien ships we already have in-game.

Unfortunately, it's something that should be incredibly easy to do given the nature of the fediverse. Plus they can easily analyze a user's upvote/downvote behaviour over here.

Haven't been banned yet, but I avoid politics on Reddit and I rarely post/comment over there ever since the 3rd party app fiasco.

Player-to-Player Trade Update

It will help with that for a bit.

However, I imagine that they'll invent other ways to transfer large amounts of aUEC. For example, once the next exploit is discovered, they could just transfer money by purchasing a large amount of gold, bringing it up on the elevator, then having the buyer send it down and sell it at some trade terminal.

It sounds like CIG has some tools now to monitor player wallets. So, at the very least they should be able to detect when exploits are occurring more quickly.

Once the game goes live, I could see them implementing some sort of temporary emergency economy pause button that would give them time to fix whatever exploit is happening.

It would also be good if CIG had some sort of incentive for players to discover/report exploits in the same way that many tech companies have bounties for security researchers that find vulnerabilities in their system.

Looks like this doesn't let us trade actual items yet.

It's just a cap on how much we can send to another player, as well as a requirement for the other player to be online and accept the payment at the time that the aUEC is sent.

Rep gains are split evenly among all members of a group. Having a larger group doesn't necessarily mean that you'll gain rep faster. It can help in cases where the missions have you go after multiple targets at different planets, or if you can finish off missions faster with 2+ players than what could be done individually.

Yeah, looks like they're listening to what most players are asking for. And I just created a new post about it, but looks like you beat me to it with your update by a few minutes.
