I like it, but it looks like a human drew it.

first attempt at scrollwork

You've actually got the overall form, curve and balance of the shapes down really well here. I actually quite like the way you've done the shading, but yeah, worth trying some other options. Learning and improving is always a good thing :)

Probably a combination of "it's really important to this person" and "love". Switching to what your loved one supports happens with all faiths, and occasionally, even football teams.

I have no problem with that.

I do, however, have a problem with that actually meaning "they have to support Israel's genocide" or "they have to arrest anyone who says mean things about Israel".

I suspect you could burn a Union Jack in the middle of your City Centre and there'd be no legal response to it (assuming you had an adequate fire risk assessment).

I also suspect if you burnt an Israeli flag in the middle of your City Centre that you'd be quickly arrested for "terrorism".

The rise and fall of Oscar Wilde?

I don't think he managed enough on his own to change the whole decade though. It must have been a group effort.

I fear that quite a lot of Reform Councillors would 'rather vote for Jimmy Saville than a lot of things'.

[PDF] The Rape Gang Inquiry

12h 6m ago in unitedkingdom@feddit.uk from www.therapeganginquiry.org

That's a pretty nasty document by some pretty scary people.

(It's a far-right report about how all rapists are foreigners, and all foreigners are rapists, and how Restore/Reform/UKIP are the answer)

I think some people don't have that sort of filter or self-moderation - they see it as their right to be offensive towards others, and would then say "they got offended", but never "I was offensive". Never their responsibility, always the other person's fault.

Surely this is on the downvoters, though? To a lot of people, downvote means "I want this post removed from the internet", not "I don't fully agree with this post".

Aren't those deleting their own posts just saying "Oh no! I didn't realise this was so upsetting to people - I better remove it"?

Two questions:

  1. Why isn't the "collection tube" connected to some sort of bottle to collect stuff in?
  2. Why does the "collection tube" have a sort of mouthpiece (like a gerbils water bottle mouthpiece) next to the guy's mouth?
