How do you report a mod for abuse?

2mon 4d ago by lemmy.world/u/GreenKnight23 in mods

sorry that this isn't the right community. there isn't a clear place on where the information I seek is.

new mod on a community has removed multiple comments of mine that were not rule breaking regarding an unrelated violation.

second issue is that other users that were breaking rules in responses to me have had their comments untouched and have no ban.

third issue there's no log in the modlog that my comments were removed and I was shadow banned without any notifications.

as a user where can I report these obvious abuses of power?

Welcome to lemmy

We make fun of them at yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com

looking for more action than just complaints though.

it's not the fact I was banned, or that my offending comments were removed. I have a problem with mods that fail to uniformly apply rules when they literally said that's what they want to do.

thanks for the community though.

Generally, one goes to the instance and finds the contact info for instance admins. That's for most instances the way to report something if you want anything other than commiseration. Some instances have dedicated C/s for it, but that's actually more of a pain in the ass imo. Harder to find too.

If you just want to complain and get community feedback, ye power trippin bastards that was already linked is the most useful

Thanks.

its pretty much instance, community, user. So you can ping the other mods of the community or the instance runner. Other than that you can post to power tripping bastards. Granted without something like screenshots or links its just you saying something happened.
