To a non IT person who hasn't heard of apt, needing to start the update manually, and needing type some magic words in precisely, is the worst it can get.

It's clear why many Windows users won't switch to Linux, when people show them they'd need to use strange IT tools to use it. While, annoying, Windows doesnt need you to be an IT nerd. Linux doesn't either, but to people outside of the Linux bubble, this is how it gets presented. That Windows update sure looks easier than some manual hack.

Some places have plenty of open space that nobody sees. Solar farms there are usually fine. Some places are beautiful countryside with hills between small villages. The nimbys are probably right. Quite ugly, unless they are somewhere you can't see. Additionally, industrial buildings and city rooftops should be used, as well as car parks if you can keep the costs low.

More than a decade ago I joined github among other systems, in order to report bugs to FOSS projects. Now I quit GitHub as it's too risky being on there. So if a project wants bug reports, go somewhere users data is not put at risk. Or go without bug reports.

I'd heard some sickos in some place use the word Gimp for something bad. Some sick minority are the last people to listen to about the name of software that's used world wide by people who don't know about those sickos.

Which is what the name has not been changed. Put your own house in order.
